Transparency and authenticity as the basis for successful CSR communication

Companies are increasingly required to be transparent with regard to their social, economic and ecological impacts. Not only from the social side, but also increasingly from the political side. Sustainability communication is also becoming increasingly important on the financial market - sustainable and thus future-oriented investments are more in demand than ever. At the same time, the public reacts very sensitively to contentless or one-sided communication.

It is therefore important to communicate one's Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) performance honestly. In doing so, it is important to strike the right tone, prepare the content appropriately, choose the appropriate channel and, at the same time, keep an eye on the design.

With our services, we support them in establishing credible communication. Our service portfolio starts with webinars, trainings and workshops and extends to the verification of CSR reports.

Offers for your CSR communication

Individual support

Do you need support from our experts for your communication projects? We provide support with structuring, content selection and creative implementation. Do you need support with stakeholder or materiality analysis? Then take a look at our CSR strategy section!

Quick Check CSR Communication

We take a neutral look at your CSR media. In addition to design aspects, we analyse above all the content: Are the texts comprehensible? Is the level of detail appropriate? Do the texts fit the target group? You will receive a commented version of your product. In addition, we explain our feedback to you in a meeting.

External verification of sustainability reports

CSR reports are increasingly in demand - alongside international corporations, SMEs are also increasingly going public with their sustainability performance. But do stakeholders trust the content presented?

The verification of sustainability reports by a neutral auditing institute creates trust by confirming the accuracy of the statements. Another advantage of a report verification is to have the internal data collection systems and implemented control mechanisms checked. After all, reliable data is the basic prerequisite for successful management.

External audit of CSR reports (e.g. according to DNK or GRI).

As part of the project, we check compliance with accountability principles as well as key figures, indicators and other non-financial information for completeness and plausibility.

Furthermore, we point out strengths and weaknesses of the report and make suggestions for optimisation. As a result, you receive an assurance statement with a final evaluation, which you can use for external communication.

Pre-assessment of sustainability reports

A preliminary review provides information on whether a report is ready for external verification. Among other things, we analyse whether reporting principles have been adhered to and whether texts have been formulated in a comprehensible manner. In addition, we examine, for example, the management approach, selected KPIs and their relation to the goals set.

A preliminary audit is independent of a reporting standard.

GAP analysis

In a GAP analysis, we examine the extent to which your report already meets the requirements of a particular reporting standard and identify any gaps. We prepare a report for internal use that supports you in further developing your report according to the chosen standard.

Data review

Here, the focus is on the reported quantitative data and indicators and their management. We check these for completeness and correctness using evidence such as original documents or our own software systems for data management.
