Testing of drinking water and drinking water installations

Examinations are mandatory

Our drinking water is considered to be one of the best in the world. In order to keep it that way, every water supplier, every self-supplier and every operator of drinking water installations is obliged to have the drinking water tested at regular intervals. The drinking water ordinance regulates the scope and frequency of testing for you, depending on the type, size and purpose of the system.

We will be happy to advise you so that you can fulfill all your legal obligations, taking into account regional peculiarities.

We are your experts in drinking water analysis

Scope of drinking water testing

A complete examination according to the Drinking Water Ordinance (so-called group A and B parameters) includes microbiological testing and the determination of a large number of chemical and chemical-physical parameters.

In the microbiological examination, "indicator germs" are tested to exclude faecal contamination, for example, and a selection of typical pathogens.

The chemical tests cover quantitative elements (calcium, potassium, magnesium, sodium, nitrate, chloride, sulphate), various heavy metals and selected organic pollutants (including pesticide residues, PFAS, bisphenol-A).

In addition to the requirements of the Drinking Water Ordinance, we offer the examination of a wide range of pollutants in the trace range (pharmaceuticals, X-ray contrast media, hormone-active substances, etc.).

Legionella testing in drinking water

For operators of large-scale systems for heating drinking water, from which drinking water is supplied as part of a commercial or public activity, there is an obligation to test for legionella according to § 31 TrinkwV.

As a landlord, hotel operator, school or hospital operator, you must have the drinking water tested for legionella at regular intervals (every 1 - 3 years).

Drinking water sampling by trained samplers

Flawless testing begins with sampling. Our samplers are accredited for sampling in accordance with the Drinking Water Ordinance and are on the road for you throughout Germany. They guarantee standard-compliant sampling combined with fast and safe transport of your samples to the laboratory.

All our drinking water laboratories are

  • accredited according to DIN EN ISO/IEC 17025
  • approved according to § 40 TrinkwV (§ 15 TrinkwV a. F)
  • and are licensed to work with pathogens in accordance with § 44 IfSG.

So you are on the safe side with us!
