In the development of crop protection agents the aspects of user, environmental and consumer protection are extremely important. The agrochemical industry is thus one of the most research-intensive areas in the chemical industry. Before a new product is approved for use, extensive studies and assessments are made to estimate any possible risk.
SGS INSTITUT FRESENIUS has an interdisci-plinary team of chemists, food chemists, biologists, agricultural scientists and geoscientists to help companies obtain approval for crop protection agents and fertilisers.
Against the background of our many years of experience in the field of analytical chemistry, consulting and project management we process studies within the framework of registration procedures such as residueanalytical and radiochemical issues in regard to the environmental behaviour and metabolism of crop protection agents.
This work is based on international guidelines (e.g. OECD, EU, EPA), in which the GLP (Good Laboratory Practice) quality assurance system is firmly anchored.
