SGS is pleased to announce that it has successfully finalised the acquisition of SGS INSTITUT FRESENIUS GmbH, Taunusstein, Germany.

This acquisition has been approved by the German Federal Cartel Office.
With effect of 23rd from March 2004 SGS is the sole shareholder of SGS INSTITUT FRESENIUS, Taunusstein. SGS is now in Germany the market leader in the field of environmental, chemical, pharmaceutical (QA/QC), microelectronic and mineral water testing.
Including SGS INSTITUT FRESENIUS Taunusstein, SGS Germany has today over 1’600 employees in more than 30 locations and becomes the biggest German laboratories’ organisation. SGS is committed to enhance SGS INSTITUT FRESENIUS Taunusstein competencies worldwide.
