The implementation of the new EU hygiene legislation is now noticeably gaining in momentum. Important regulations are presently being compiled to more precisely define the requirements. One of the most important legal provisions has already been laid down in the Regulation on Microbiological Criteria for Foodstuffs 2073/2005. The International Fresenius Conference on Hygiene in Food and Feed, 13 and 14 November 2006 in Cologne/Germany, will inform you about what action you need to take. You will discover:
- what projects the EU Commission is working on
- how 2073/2005 effects the meat trade
- what role the European Food and Safety Authority is playing
- what the situation on the national front looks like and where work still needs to be done
- what problems are being faced by the mixed fodder industry as a result
of Feed Hygiene Regulation 183/2005
- how the agricultural sector is meeting its obligations
- what guidelines apply to the transportation of bulk goods
- what support the mechanical engineering trade is offering
The event is organised by SGS Germany and Akademie Fresenius. The conference fee is Euro 1.395 + 16 % VAT. SGS clients are eligible for a 10% discount until 15 September 2006. The conference brochure is available in Adobe Acrobat format from the SGS office and further details can be obtained direct from the organisers on phone +49 231 75896-81 or by email smummenbrauer@akademie-fresenius.de or can be downloaded below.
